BP in Amherst (1425 N AMHERST HWY)

The Filling Station's main business is beer. It is a small brewery that offers single bottle beer purchases, as well as beer on tap. The location is an old gas station so it still has active pumps, but the gas sales is secondary. The credit card readers at the pumps always have torn security stickers so it is impossible to tell whether the reader has been tampered with. I was not able to locate any indication sticker at the pump showing a current certification by the Virginia Office of Weights and Measure.

This is a normal gas station that also has a nice food store and area to buy food such as pizza and chicken. I was unable to locate a current sticker showing that the pumps have been checked for accuracy by the Virginia Office of Weights and Measure. The credit card readers at the pump are missing security stickers often times so it is impossible to see if the device has been tampered with. The customer service is great and the owner keeps the business well lit! If the owner would lower the price of gas to match stations such as Kangaroo and Murphy's in Madison Heights, it would benefit the people in the community and increase sales.
