I just wanted to get a little gas to tide me over to someplace affordable. Cramped, gas hose to short to reach the other side of a compact car, and I had no desire to deal with the glacial pace of service with the single counter attendant.

Gas pumps tend to be "out of service" a lot. Gas is quite affordable compared to other stations nearby this location, hence why I still come here even if I have to wait a while to pump gas in my car once a pump is available.
