the pump doesnt ask if you want a receipt now until after you pumped your gas when before it asked first so if it was out of paper you could switch pumps if necessary. on 2 separate occasions I didnt receive a receipt and when I asked the "attendants " they responded like they didnt care and just said there was nothing they could do about it. Great customer service!!
