The pump didn't automatically stop. I was standing looking at the pump thinking I should stop soon. Lo and behold I looked at the nozzle and it started overflowing from the tank. I immediately had to reached down and stop, but there was gas that got all over the side of my car and my feet. You can use it, but just be cautious.
