Conoco in Clinton (101 N 2nd St)

my review from 4 years ago still stands. plus, at this time only one pump seems to be working... but you have to prepay on the inside. I tried to use my gas buddy card but it wont take because its not a pump... the man kept trying to tell me it wasnt authorizing, but again I couldnt really understand him. I didnt expect to go in so I didnt have a mask on and I was nervous. anyway, I was forced to pay with debit so I could get out of there... he told me to back up from pump 1 to pump 3 and my 15 dollars will be loaded up there... are you kidding me? it doesnt matter to me that this is consistently the cheapest gas in town anymore. there are too many problems with this station. its like the couple extra cents off is them apologizing for how badly their machines are operating and service is. Id rather pay a few extra for actual working pumps at the station next door. I didnt even get my gas buddy discount today. :/ wah-wah

I had to go inside to get receipt.

Management refuses to replace receipt paper in the gas pumps. They admit this is to manipulate customers into coming inside for the gas receipt in the hope they will buy something else in the process. Some people resent being manipulated.
